Fahrzeugwerke Weidner was a German automobile manufacturer based in Schwäbisch Hall, operational from 1957 to 1958. The company was known for producing a light car designed by Hans Trippci, which was marketed in France under the name "Marathon."
The Marathon featured a 677cc three-cylinder two-stroke engine manufactured by Heinkel, paired with a four-speed gearbox. Its body was constructed from fiberglass, contributing to its lightweight design. Despite the innovative aspects of the vehicle, Weidner faced challenges related to capital and the establishment of a robust distribution network, which ultimately led to the cessation of production after approximately 200 units were built.
