Jetcar Zukunftsfahrzeug GmbH was a German microcar manufacturer. Founded in 2000 by Christian Wenger-Rosenau and Michael Wenger, the company developed lightweight, aerodynamic two-seat vehicles with the aim of combining efficiency and innovative design. Its cars featured tandem seating, composite bodywork, and steel frames, reflecting a focus on minimizing drag and fuel consumption.
The firm’s principal model, the Jetcar 2.5, was powered by a small diesel engine producing around 30 kW, capable of a top speed of approximately 160 km/h while achieving fuel consumption as low as 2.5 L/100 km under favorable conditions. An electric variant was later introduced, offering a range of up to 250 km. Jetcar participated in promotional events such as the e-miglia electric vehicle rally to showcase its technology. Despite its innovative concept, the company remained niche and produced only a limited number of vehicles. Jetcar Zukunftsfahrzeug GmbH entered liquidation in 2013 and was formally dissolved in 2014.
