Dux was a German automobile manufacturer that operated from 1908 to 1926. The company originated as Polyphonwerke AG in Wahren, Leipzig, before transitioning to Dux Automobilwerke AG in 1915. It succeeded the Polymobil brand, marking its entry into the automotive market.

The first model produced by Dux was the Typ El2, which featured a 6/12 PS four-cylinder engine, a three-speed gearbox, and shaft drive. This model was followed by the 6/18 PS variant, which had a 1546 cc engine and remained in production until the end of 1919, just after World War I.

In the 1920s, Dux introduced two additional models: the Typ S and Typ R. The Typ S was equipped with a 4396 cc four-cylinder engine and a four-speed gearbox, while the Typ R had a slightly larger 4433 cc engine and also offered optional four-wheel brakes. Although both models were similar in size, the Typ R had a longer wheelbase of 140 inches (3555 mm) compared to the Typ S. The pricing reflected their differences, with the Typ S costing RM 13,200 for a tourer and the Typ R priced at RM 22,000.

Dux ceased operations in 1926, concluding its brief but notable presence in the automotive industry.
