Altmann was a German automobile manufacturer active from 1905 to 1907, based in Brandenburg/Havel. The company was notable for producing one of the few steam-powered cars in Germany during its brief existence.

The vehicles designed by Altmann featured an advanced engineering approach, incorporating the Gardner-Serpollet valve-timing system, although the engine itself was an original design. The steam engine was a 15/25 horsepower three-cylinder unit equipped with a condenser, which allowed for low water consumption and an impressive range of approximately 125 miles per tank.

Tragically, the founder Adolf Altmann died in a steam engine explosion, which led to the cessation of the company's operations and the discontinuation of his innovative work.
