Automobiles Galy was a French automobile manufacturer based in Paris, active from 1954 to 1957. The company made its debut at the 1954 Salon de Paris, showcasing a compact two-seater coupe known for its appealing metal bodywork, which was produced by a specialized forged and cast metalworks.
The design of the Galy featured a tubular chassis and utilized rubber for its suspension system. The manufacturer offered a range of models equipped with various rear-mounted single-cylinder engines. The initial model, the Vistand, was powered by an Ydral 175cc two-stroke engine producing 1 brake horsepower. Other models included the Vibel and Visport, which were fitted with an AMC 250cc four-stroke engine, later upgraded to 280cc in 1955.
At the 1955 Salon, Automobiles Galy presented a prototype with a Willys Jeep-style steel body based on the Vistand, although this variant likely did not enter production. Despite its competitive pricing strategy, the company faced challenges in the market, resulting in the sale of only around 100 vehicles across all models during its brief operational period.
