Duriez

Duriez was a French automobile manufacturer that operated from 1946 to 1951. The company initially focused on producing electric vehicles during World War II before shifting its attention to the development of forward-control vans and estate cars. These vehicles were primarily based on the Citroën C4 chassis, which allowed Duriez to leverage existing technology while catering to the post-war demand for practical transportation solutions.

In addition to its core offerings, Duriez also specialized in creating custom bodies for the Renault 4CV starting in 1950. This diversification demonstrated the company's ability to adapt to market needs and collaborate with other manufacturers. Furthermore, Duriez contributed to the automotive industry by working on the LIVRY Atlas and developing a four-speed gearbox that was utilized by both Citroën and D.B., showcasing its engineering capabilities during its brief existence.
