Automobiles Dangel was a French automotive manufacturer founded by Henri Dangel in Sentheim. The company operated from 1968 to 1971, initially focusing on the production of sports cars and racing vehicles. Dangel's first model, the Barchctta, was introduced in 1968. This two-seat sports car featured a fiberglass body and was designed for both Series Club racing and general road use. It was powered by a rear-mounted engine sourced from the Renault 8 Gordini.
Despite the initial ambition to succeed in the sports car market, Dangel ceased production of its road racing vehicles after just three years. The company re-emerged in 1978, shifting its focus to the development of four-wheel drive conversions for the Peugeot 504. Over the years, Automobiles Dangel continued to specialize in all-wheel drive modifications for various Peugeot and Citroën models, establishing a niche in the automotive market.
