Conversion Automobile Modcme, commonly referred to as CAM, was a French automotive manufacturer active from 1972 to 1973. The company was founded and operated by Gérard Maurin and Claude Cretin. Initially, CAM specialized in producing a unique all-terrain vehicle known as the Offroad, as well as a buggy model called the Punch-Buggy.
In 1972, CAM shifted its focus towards developing a fun car kit based on the Renault 4. This new model was characterized by its open-topped design, absence of doors, and distinctive quad headlamps. Despite its innovative approach, the company had a brief operational period and ceased activities shortly after its transition to the Renault-based kit car.
