Caffort was a French automobile manufacturer that operated from 1920 to 1922. The company, officially known as Ste des Anciens Fits Caffon, was based in Paris. Prior to its foray into car manufacturing, Caffort had a history of producing marine engines in Marseilles.

The Caffort car was notable for its unique design, featuring two front wheels that were positioned unusually close together, giving it the appearance of a three-wheeler. This design choice eliminated the need for a differential, a component commonly found in rear-driven vehicles. However, the Caffort was distinctive as it utilized front-wheel drive. The vehicle was powered by a 1-litre flat-twin engine, which was located alongside the driver and transmitted power through a 3-speed gearbox and bevel gears.

Cafforts were primarily utilized as taxis and delivery vans rather than as conventional passenger cars. The company's brief existence in the automotive industry was marked by this innovative yet unconventional approach to vehicle design.
