Begot et Mazurid was a French automobile manufacturer active from 1899 to 1902, based in Rheims. The company was founded by general engineers who initially produced a limited number of light cars. These vehicles were equipped with 4-horsepower single-cylinder engines of 642 cc, which bore similarities to those made by De Dion-Bouton, although with notable differences in design. The engines were mounted at the front of the frame, and the final drive was achieved through a double-chain system.

In 1900, the company underwent a name change to Begot et Cail, reflecting a partnership with Cail, a manufacturer known for producing locomotives and the large six-wheeled BORDEREL-CAIL car. Under the new name, the company offered vehicles powered by either a 5-horsepower single-cylinder engine, similar to the De Dion-Bouton type, or a 7-horsepower 904 cc V-twin engine of their own design. These models featured 4-speed gearboxes and maintained the double-chain drive system.

The 1900 V-twin model was notable for its dos-à-dos body design, accommodating four passengers, although by 1901, the seating arrangement was modified so that all seats faced forward. Steering was originally managed by a vertical tiller, while surviving examples of the Begot et Mazurid vehicles have been noted to feature wheel steering with an inclined column, likely a later modification.
