This beautiful prototype is an adolescent’s dreams come true! The extraordinary vehicle, known as Adonis, is the work of Nicolas Bourbon, a young car designer from Genlis. Between the ages of 18 and 23, 6000 hours of work patiently accomplished in the family garage during his lunch hours, evenings, weekends and holidays. A crazy project and a crazy rhythm. Nicolas Bourbon has built the whole car, including the front and rear directional wheels, the pneumatic suspension, the inverted mirror headlights and the incredible bodywork!

With each collaboration he gained a little more knowledge working with Piscine Provence Polyester in Pouilly-en-Auxois for the composite fibre, Lionel Garrault in Genlis for the leatherwork, and Mécanique Générale Outillage (MGO) in Varanges for the machining. A prize winner at Exposciences in Nevers and in the Youth Challenge run by the Ministry for Youth and Sports, Nicolas has been praised to the skies by the automobile journals.

His finest memory is still the welcome he received at the end of February in Paris at the Racing and Special Car Exhibition: an enthusiastic scramble as the car came off the trailer! But also the congratulations offered by company directors... and the proposals from constructors. Will the dream, the ‘concept-car’ actually become reality?
