Camelo Metalmecânica Ltda., later Newtrack Indústria e Comércio de Veículos Ltda., was founded in 1999 in Caucaia, Ceará, by the engineer Sílvio Camelo. Shortly before, Camelo had worked on setting up the industrial project of the Troller jeep.
