The Curitiba Spyder was a prototype built in 1966 by the Paraná racing driver Márcio Abreu Leitão. It was a two-seater with a steel-sheet body, DKW mechanicals consisting of a two-stroke engine and front-wheel drive, and a chassis of his own design, weighing only 570 kilograms. Shortly before this project, Abreu Leitão had attempted to build another vehicle powered by a Harley-Davidson motorcycle engine, but that earlier effort was unsuccessful.
