The AZNOM concept is not limited to being the name of the latest sport scar on the block, but one that has been built by exceeding the limits and realising new concepts.

In 1913, when “aerodynamics” was not yet a common talking point, Castagna was the first to come up with the new “minivan” concept and the “teardrop bodyshape that offers little air resistance”.

Innovation is one of the distinguishing features of our design philosophy, so much so that it often becomes an aesthetics premise.

AZNOM is dedicated to all those people who love track-days, testing their own limits and getting to know their vehicle by pushing the envelope.

Three basic concepts form the basis of the project: lightness, aerodynamics, and mechanics.

The mechanics of the vehicle include most of the technical specifications adopted for FIA GT racing, which make this vehicle both reliable and a winner.

Independent suspension, lightened by the use of adjustable MOTUL shock absorbers in place of coil springs, and torsion bars with a Titanium adjustment mechanism is now the vehicles new interface with the road.

The high-performance, forged, 20” wheels supplied by AEZ, combined with Pirelli PZERO, special compound tyres, and complemented by the latest BREMBO ultra-light weight brakes, made of lightened forged metal, are the very latest in terms of overcoming the problems of managing suspended loads.

The excellent 7.0-litre engine mounted in this vehicle is now fitted with two centrifugal turbochargers, one for each bank of cylinders, raising the engine’s power output to 820HP and providing 980Nm of torque.

Given these levels of available power, a number of modifications have also been made the gearbox, amongst which is the lightening of the flywheel and the installation of a new type of clutch plate. The gearbox also has new gear ratios in keeping with the different wheel diameter.
