A Concept – “Active - Agility”

This concept is one that embodies Human Horizons’ message to be more responsible regarding the interaction with the earth’s ecology and environment. This is why it is a vehicle sharing concept that can provide extremely flexible mobility.

The concept’s flexibility is demonstrated by the fact that it is a vehicle and not just a car – it is based on a passenger capsule that can be connected to different sub systems from the top or the bottom to provide different modes of transportation. The options demonstrated with this concept are land, rail, mono-rail, sea and air travel.

The land option provides both on- and off-road travel taking into account that in certain regions of the world good road networks may not available.

The second travel option is a unique monorail option that would be suitable for built up city areas. This however, is not the only rail option. The capsule can also be loaded onto specifically manufactured railway wagons enabling passengers of the capsule to travel greater distances more economically.

The concept’s further flexibility is also demonstrated by the sea travel option with the capsule being loaded onto individual jet boat keels. This would enable not only more flexibility but could also reduce the number of expensive road bridges built in the future.

Finally, there is the air travel option which would provide individual capsule travel over greater distances and with the thrill of air travel.

Also incorporated in the A concept is the autonomous drive mode as clearly seen by the obvious and futuristic looking roof mounted LiDar. Other innovative features of the road going capsule option are the rear wheel covers for improving aero efficiency as well as the air channel between the front wheel fenders and passenger capsule.

For the Interior of the A concept one of the visually obvious features is the use of a holographic IP centrally mounted info system. This holograph could be tailored to any passenger’s personal preferences as a person or animal or even something inanimate.

Additionally, there is what Human Horizons dub as “E.A.S.E.” – an “Electronic Advanced Surreal Environment”. This feature is a combination of big screens wrapping the occupants in a “U” (being mounted on the front foot well and lower door panels) that provides a visual online connection and can provide any virtual image such as the surreal image of clouds in a blue sky to create any environment you wish. Another feature of the EASE is that you can use the exterior mounted cameras to relay the visual environment around the capsule giving a sense of transparency – a feature that would be amazing when travelling by its air mode or jet boat mode. This video information could then be shared with other capsules and projected on their interior screens so that they could also enjoy the air and underwater views even when travelling in the rail or car modes.
