Geoff Jago created Geep kitcar in 1971. It had fiberglass bodywork mounted on a ladder chassis designed for Ford Anglia 150E parts and was a direct replica of Willys. In the next few years new versions based on Morris Minor and Ford Escort were also introduced. The Geep was renamed to Sandero in 1991 due to Chrysler's objection. The Samuri was first introduced in 1983. It was a fun Ford-based 4-seater sports buggy. A Suzuki-based Sandero was presented in 1994. In the early 2000s, the company was taken over by Belfield Engineering which continued making Sandero both in hard top and soft top versions. It lasted probably until the end of the decade.
