This British manufacturer operated under the name Cygnet Cars Ltd, first based in Kislingbury, Northamptonshire, between 1982 and 1984, before relocating to Wootton, Northamptonshire, where it continued production until 1985.
The company's principal product was the Cygnet Monaco, a four-seater coupé kit car built on Ford Cortina mechanicals. Its design featured an upward-sloping front end and a concave roofline, along with a grille styled in the manner of Aston Martin, reflecting the background of the person behind the company, who had connections to Aston Martin's Newport Pagnell operations. Despite its unconventional appearance and modest build quality, a notable number of these kits were sold.
In 1983, the company also displayed a traditional-style roadster model, but this project did not progress into production.
