Aleat

Aleat was a British kit car marque associated with Classic Car Panels, a manufacturer based in Frome, Somerset. The company was known for producing components and complete kits for enthusiasts seeking to build their own vehicles using Jaguar-derived running gear.

The Aleat model was a roadster featuring flat, slab-sided bodywork constructed from sheet steel. It was built upon a chassis derived from the Kougar, another British kit car manufacturer known for its Jaguar-based sports cars. This shared underpinning allowed Aleat to offer a distinctive body style while relying on proven mechanical components.

At the time of its production, the Aleat kit was offered to customers for around twelve thousand pounds. Despite this positioning, the model had a notably brief production run and did not achieve lasting commercial success in the competitive kit car market.

In addition to the Aleat, Classic Car Panels also produced another vehicle known as the Tripacer, reflecting the company's broader involvement in the small-scale British kit car industry during this period.
