ABC [2]

ABC (Auto Body Craft) was a British manufacturer active from 1969 to 1973, primarily known for producing the ABC Tricar, which is often regarded as the first road-going trike based on the Mini. The company operated initially in Kingswinford, West Midlands, before relocating to Brierley Hill, Staffordshire.

The ABC Tricar retained the entire front end of the Mini, while the rear section was modified to accommodate a half rear Mini subframe. This innovative design featured a glassfibre open two-seater body that was bonded to the chassis. Later iterations of the Tricar transitioned to all-glassfibre bodywork, and the front end was designed to swing forward, providing easier access to the engine compartment. In total, approximately 25 units of the ABC Tricar were produced during its brief production run.
