Greyhound Motors Corporation was established in 1919 in New York City, New York. The company aimed to produce a speedster model that featured a unique design, including a 'Trinka Patent Body' and round bonnet louvres. The promotional slogan for the vehicle was "Just as Good as it Looks," reflecting the company's intent to market a visually appealing automobile.

Despite its ambitious plans, Greyhound Motors faced significant challenges. Historian Beverly Rae Kimes noted that the vehicle resembled an attempt to create a sporting version of the Model T Ford, a popular car of the era. During this period, many companies offered plans for customizing vehicles, and Greyhound sought to provide a competitively priced option in this market. However, the company ultimately failed to move beyond the prototype stage, and no production models were ever manufactured. The Greyhound brand existed briefly, from 1919 to 1920, before ceasing operations.
