Duplex was an automobile brand established in 1923 by the United Ironworks Company, located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The brand was notable for its innovative engineering approach, particularly its use of a unique four-cylinder, two-stroke engine design. This engine featured two pistons per cylinder, a configuration that the manufacturers claimed achieved exceptional fuel economy.

The Duplex was mounted on a Hudson chassis and made its debut at the 1923 Montreal Show, where it was showcased to the public with a price tag of CDN $1,750. Despite the innovative design and the attention garnered at the show, Duplex did not enter into mass production, and the brand ultimately faded from the automotive landscape shortly after its introduction.
