pebble beach, california, 14th to 20th august – icona vulcano is invited to participate at pebble beach concours d'elegance 2013.
first held in 1950, the pebble beach concours d’elegance is renowned as the world’s premier celebration of the automobile. only the most beautiful and rare automobiles are invited to appear on the famed eighteenth fairway of pebble beach golf links each year, and collectors and car enthusiasts flock to see them.
this year, the vulcano will be there: standing alongside these coveted pre-and post-war automobiles, the vulcano will showcase the best of contemporary italian design and engineering. with different powertrain alternatives the supercar reaches up to 950 horsepower through an ingenious combination of combustion engine and electric motors, all encased in a beautiful design featuring voluptuous and harmonious shapes: this is the car which brings together the beauty and the beast.
the icona vulcano was designed by icona director of design, samuel chuffart and the powertrain is the work of well-known claudio lombardi, former powertrain technical director of ferrari and mastermind of numerous world champion cars.
