Clark Abel was a British bespoke luxury vehicle design and personalisation marque based in England’s West Midlands and associated with the Futura Design/Futura Group studio environment. It was established in 2011 by directors David Abel, Mark Abel and Oliver Jones, drawing on an automotive design and prototyping background, and positioned as a low-volume outfit offering tailored exterior, interior and performance modifications as well as commissioned artwork and other one-off design projects. The company’s early public profile centred on Range Rover Evoque-based show vehicles, including the Monroe-themed Evoque featuring bespoke artwork by Paul Karslake, and the Dakar Rally-inspired “Dakar Evoque,” which was presented as the brand’s debut at Salon Privé in September 2013. Contemporary coverage described Clark Abel as offering client-led, fully personalised builds.
