Arrinera - the first-ever Polish supercar previewed

Jun 16, 2011

The development of the first-ever Polish supercar - the Veno - was announced in 2008 when renderings of the automobile highly resembling the Lamborghini Reventon were released. The proposed hypercar was to be powered by an Audi V8 engine, however later the option list was updated with Corvette C6 LS3, LS9 and LS7 power units. The latter should have been tuned by a well-known American tuning company Lingenfelter up to 1100 hp! Since then, the development of the Veno continued resulting both in the renaming - now know as Arrinera - and a heavyly redesigned exterior appearance. However, apparently this is not all since the car now features a supercharged V8 developing 640 hp of power and 819 Nm of torque. The lightweight steel tubular chassis construction is made using both carbonfibre and aluminum. Arrinera's aerodynamic bodywork is crafted from carbonfiber and ceramic brakes are by default. Moreover, the Polish company has adressed themselves to the world-famous British car creator Lee Noble who's creations like Ultima or Noble supercars, to name a few, are still considered to be one of the finest examples of high-quality sports automobiles.

The premiere of the prototype for a selected audience took place on the 9th of June in Warsaw where Lee Noble participated as well. The Arrinera will be powered by either a V8 or a twin -turbocharged V6 engine. Additionally the production examples of the Polish superautomobile will be signed by Lee Noble who is a member of Supervisory Board and who will also be responsible for the technical development of the production car. The company states that the development of the production ready automobile will take additional 12 months and hopes the production of the first customer cars will start in the second half of 2012.

No exact technical details of the Arinerra are available for this moment. However, the Polish supercar develops an estimated top speed of 300 km/h. The Arinerra's price tag once it enters production will start at 115 thousand of euros.
