2022 Infiniti QX60 – Luxury Redefined

Sep 28, 2022

People buy luxury cars because the manufacturers use the latest technology to ensure they have premium features compared to regular cars. The comfort of sitting in a luxury car is also on another level, with more body and head space in the interiors.

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 provides all of the features mentioned above and much more, but in the form of an SUV. Infiniti entered the luxury SUV market a decade back, and they have been manufacturing them ever since.

The best feature of a car like the QX60 is the seating arrangements. It has three rows of seats, with a capacity of 7 people. This SUV is in demand for its generous amount of passenger space.

I was lucky enough to take the 2022 Infiniti QX60 for a test drive after I found one on ZeMotor, an online platform that deals with new or used autos. Here is a complete breakdown of the car's most essential features.

Extra Spacious Interior

When the 2022 Infiniti QX60 was released, the customers were anxious about one vital feature – a spacious interior. This is because the QX60 is a remake of what was previously called the Infiniti JX, produced in 2013. The JX was not known for its interior space back then.

However, the QX60 has hit the nail with a three-row seating feature, with lots of body and head space. This gives the driver and passengers the feeling of extreme comfort, and this is what luxury SUVs are all about.

Since I am a couple of inches taller than 6 feet, I was doubtful of the head space inside the car. On entering the car, all doubts were cleared, as there was enough space between my head and the roof.

There is also enough leg space in the driver's seat for tall people to move their legs freely. The car's interior is contrasted with dark graphite and off-white sandstone leather, with white stitching on the dashboard.

The mid-row seats are also the same as the ones at the front, with an armrest. The mid-row section also has a center console where you can keep your cup of coffee or your bottle of coke, whichever is your choice. The best thing about the console in the mid-row is the ability to take it out to create more room.

The only downside of the three-row seating is the last row does not have much leg room. In this case, children can take the last row, which will be comfortable enough for them. Adults will find it difficult to go on a journey seated in the last row in the QX60.

Sleek Exterior

Infiniti has done a great job with the exterior look of the QX60, giving it a sleek but aggressive look. The QX60 I found on ZeMotor had liquid platinum and black colors with a sunroof.

When you look at the QX60, you can see why Infiniti decided to manufacture luxury SUVs. The piano-style LED lights at the front and back were so sleek and cool to look at.

The front of the car has a bold and aggressive look, unlike its predecessor, which was more subtle and frail-looking. The new QX60 has a vent below the front LED lights that help circulate air, helping keep the engine cool.

This SUV has a grill below the bonnet that looks like the developers were inspired by the ocean's waves. A big, shiny Infinity logo is fitted to the grill below the bonnet. You will also see an Infinity sign engraved into the chrome bar below the grill.

The design of the wheels does not stand out, but many people like their wheels as simple. The car has 20-inch wheels, with machine aluminum metallic gunmetal gray finish.

The QX60 from ZeMotor had a two-toned style exterior, with a black top and a platinum color. The side mirrors also have the same look, with LED lights and a 360-degree camera feature. There is a little bit of chrome on the door handles, giving it a shiny gloss.

The windows go all the way back to the end of the car to make it possible for the people in the third row to look outside. The taillights have a very modern and sleek look.

Engine Power

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 gets a V6 engine like its predecessor, the JX. It is a 2.5-liter V6 engine with 295 horsepower and 270 pounds of torque, and a 9-speed automatic transmission.

This luxury SUV can reach a speed of 60 miles per hour in about 6.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 120 miles per hour. The mileage on the QX60 is good enough for a luxury SUV, giving you about 20 miles a gallon in traffic and 25 on the highway.

Infotainment

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen that you can use to control certain features in the car, like the music, camera, etc. You can use android auto and Apple CarPlay, which come as added features in the QX60's 12.3-inch touchscreen.

You will be able to see your car's back view and a 360-degree view of the car on the screen. You will find the volume controls below the screen on the digital stereo.

You can also adjust the heating on the seats using the heat-control options on the right side of the stereo. The car also has wireless charging features on the center console at the front. There is also an electric shifter for the 9-speed automatic, and the stop button is just at the top of the center console, below the electric shifter.

The center console has two cup holders to keep your liquids from spilling. There is a compartment on the console that you can open by pressing the unlock button. You will have enough space to keep your valuables and charge your devices using USB ports.

The passengers at the back can also charge their phones and other gadgets, as there are more USB ports on the back of the front seat's center console. The air-conditioning is placed in all the corners of the car till the last row, giving passengers a relaxed ride in hot weather.
