PARIS 2012 - Sbarro Eight concept - AllCarIndex
Huge biannual motorshows like Paris Motor Show or IAA in Frankfurt always bring out some odd an quirky automotive creations. No exception is this year, when the Orange company together with the Espera Sbarro Montbéliard School of Design presented a very sophisticated concept automobile named the “Eight”.
A car which is clearly inspired by American hot rods has been created by Sbarro’s students in just two months i.e. eight weeks.
Under a lightweight fiberglass skin is a half-hidden appropriate 360hp Maserati V8 engine placed longitudinally in front. Besides that, in contrast to the transatlantic “big brothers” which keep as simple cockpit as possible, the Swiss power machine is packed with a high-end technologies.
In place of the standard driver’s dashboard is a tablet computer which provides all common information. Also, there is a second tablet for the passenger which gives much more options including internet navigation, music, video and entertainment. This is where the partners (Orange, Parrot, Peiker and Supertooth) of the project combined their efforts to achieve maximum result – to show the future of the communicative driving experience.
