Great Lakes Motor Cars was an American automotive company based in Rochester, New York, that operated from approximately 1984 to 1989. The company specialized in the production of replica vehicles, primarily focusing on classic British models. Initially, Great Lakes Motor Cars was known for manufacturing restoration parts for the Ford Model A before shifting its focus to creating high-quality kits for the MG TF.

The MG TF replica, designated as the TF-1800, utilized running gear and trim from the MGB, allowing for an authentic appearance and feel. Many components of the TF-1800 were designed to be interchangeable with original MG parts, enhancing its appeal to enthusiasts of classic cars. In 1986, the company expanded its offerings by introducing the TF-V8, a version powered by either a V6 or V8 Chevrolet engine, which was available in both kit and fully assembled forms.

In addition to the MG TF replicas, Great Lakes Motor Cars also developed a replica of the MG PAAirline coupe, known as the Phantom. This model was designed to accommodate larger Chevrolet V8 engines and represented a blend of MG styling and hot rod characteristics. Eventually, the production of these MG kits transitioned to Noble Motor Works, located in Penn Yan, New York, marking the end of Great Lakes Motor Cars' direct involvement in the replica car market.
