AC Propulsion Inc. is an electric vehicle systems manufacturer based in San Dimas, California. The company was founded in 1992 by Alan Cocconi, a former specialist in electric vehicles at General Motors. AC Propulsion is known for its innovative approach to electric vehicle technology.

One of the company's notable products is the Zero, which was introduced at the 1997 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Zero is a zero-emissions sports car powered by an electric engine and lead-acid batteries, delivering the equivalent of 220 brake horsepower. It boasts impressive performance metrics, including a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration time of 4.9 seconds and a driving range of 80-100 miles (130-160 km).

The design of the Zero features a removable roof and small upward-hinging doors equipped with removable screens. Additionally, AC Propulsion offered the Long Ranger, a hybrid trailer designed to extend the range of electric vehicles, providing unlimited autonomy for electric vehicle users.
