Intermeccanica is a Canadian automotive manufacturer originally founded in 1959 in Turin, Italy, by Frank and Paula Reisner. The company initially produced tuning kits and later developed a series of low-volume sports cars, including the Apollo GT, Italia, Murena, and Indra. In 1975, Intermeccanica relocated to California, focusing on replica vehicles such as the Porsche 356 Speedster. Since 1982, the company has been based in Vancouver, Canada, operating as Intermeccanica International Inc. Current offerings include the Roadster “D”, a reproduction of the 1959 Porsche 356-A Convertible D, and the Model “S”, inspired by the 1958 356-A Speedster. Intermeccanica also produces replicas of the WWII-era Volkswagen Kübelwagen. The company is now led by Henry Reisner, son of the founders.
