2011-08-13 KTM presents E3W - fills the gap

Following a successful first step into automotive market with the X-Bow, the Austrian manufacturer of two-wheeled vehicles - KTM - has presented the next project to fill the gap. It is a three-wheeled electric vehicle named the E3W. The prototype was developed during the last to years in conjunction with Austrian design studio Kiska and Austrian Institute of Technology.
Technical specifications of the new KTM automobile are not well specified. However, the E3W which weighs only 500 kg is powered by an electric 20hp motor and is equipped with lithium-ion batteries. The prototype in case it enters production sometime in 2013 may cost from 5000 to 8000 €.
