2010-10-02 [EXCLUSIVE] Fiberlite Designs Lance roadster [video]

The car you see here is a unique Canadian three-wheeler tandem named Lance. It has been created by Lance Boettcher - the president of the Fiberlite Designs Ltd. The company has been established in 1995 in Strathmore, Alberta but currently is located in Calgary, Alberta. The car has been designed to be powered by a small-block Chevrolet 5-liter V8 engine mated with 3 speed automatic gearbox. Lance's aircraft-inspired bodywork has ben been made of fiberglass composite what resulted in a total curb weight of only 744 kilos (1640 lbs)! Put together, extreme lightweight and Chevy power enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in 5.3 seconds. Three-wheeled Lance utilizes "Leading link" suspension with semi-eliptec leaf spring and gas charged shocks in front and rigid axle with leaf spring, rear sway bar and two trailing links in rear. The car is equipped with drum breaks.
Currently existing in a single unit, the Lance is still available in three versions: Roadster (no top and no doors), Coupe (removable carbon fiber top and no doors) and Elite (removable carbon fiber top and removale doors).
