Turkish composite material specialist has unveiled it first complete design - a rally car named Control-1 at the Autosport International Racing Car Show.

Avitas A.S. Attends 2011 Autosport International The Racing Cars Show
Avitas will be taking part in the Autosport International Racing Car Show on 13-16 January 2011 with its genuinely designed and manufactured Rally Car CONTROL-1. Originating from the idea of an optimum cost and easy to maintain rally car, Avitas has been working on this unique project for two years. The 2011 Autosport International show will be the first International outing of Avitas’ ambitious engineering, design and manufacturing project that is now ready to go to market.
Avitas A.S. has a long history in composite plastics parts engineering, design and manufacturing for automotive OEM’s. It has also a motorsport specialist design team within the company. This project CONTROL-1 is a rear wheel drive, front and rear double wishbone suspension, tubular chassis, 660 kg rally car equipped with a 4 cylinder, 150 HP engine that is mated to a 5 gear sequential gearbox with Avitas’ forward and reverse gearbox solution. The Autosport International will be the dayview of this exciting product on the international motorsport arena.
The main target customer for CONTROL-1 is the local/national competitor who demands high quality and competitive car with an optimum budget. The most significant factor about Avitas’ Rally Car CONTROL-1 is that it is an independent vehicle that has the potential to serve a wide variety of customers. It targets the organisers aiming to build an independent championship as well as the individual competitor who wants to utilize proper sponsorship.
Commenting on the project, Avitas A.S. General Coordinator and Racing Cars Business Unit Responsible Mr. Halid AVDAGIC said: “We are very excited about this project, CONTROL-1. We combined our experience in automotive industry with our specialism in motorsports. We planned to build a low weight car with power so it will give excitement to the stages and I think we can be proud of our achievement. Avitas Rally Car CONTROL-1 will make its’ first International outing at Autosport International Show and I believe this show is the perfect choice for the project.“
