Jaguar celebrated the release of its third Vision Gran Turismo car, the Roadster, by creating a bespoke designers' choice livery. Launched in Gran Turismo 7, the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo Roadster joined the Vision GT Coupé and Vision GT SV in the latest edition of the real driving simulator. The design team at Jaguar released unique imagery of a curated specification for each car to celebrate the trilogy.
The Vision Gran Turismo Roadster is an all-electric single-seat Jaguar race car designed and developed for the globally-renowned Gran Turismo game. It features three light, compact electric motors developed by Jaguar TCS Racing for the Formula E racing series, delivering 1,020PS (750kW). With electrifying performance, the Roadster can go from 0-60mph in less than two seconds and has a top speed of more than 200mph.
For the first time, the Roadster and the GT SV are available in Gran Turismo 7 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles from March 4, 2022. The black and grey bespoke livery on each car emphasizes their dramatic and beautiful designs. The Roadster combines the race-proven powertrain from the Coupé with a taut, sculpted form inspired by the iconic Jaguar D-type.
The Roadster's interior features lightweight, luxurious materials and intricate details, creating a driver-focused experience. The car's body is expertly crafted from carbon-fibre composites and advanced aluminum alloys, with a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery pack contributing to its outstanding driving dynamics. Players can experience the Roadster's performance in Gran Turismo 7, which offers a new user experience on PS4 and PS5 consoles.
In addition to the Roadster, players can now drive the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV in-game for the first time. The SV is an all-electric virtual endurance race car with four electric motors delivering 1,903PS (1,400kW) and extreme performance capabilities. Both the Roadster and GT SV, along with the Vision GT Coupé, are available for players in Gran Turismo 7.
