GENEVA 2018 - LVCHI and I.DE.A. Institute teases Venere Concept

LVCHI AUTO ENTERS THE MARKET AND CHOOSES ITALIAN KNOW-HOW FOR ENGINEERING AND DESIGN

The new bornChinesecutting-edge EV maker is ready to unveil at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show Venere, the first electric high-performance limousine developed in partnership with Italian engineering and design firm I.DE.A. Institute

Born in 2016 in Shanghai, LVCHI Auto sets to step in the EV market with the aim to become one of itsamain players. The new brand will unveil its crown jewel at the Geneva Motor Show 2018: Venere, the first electric vehicle in high-performance Limousine segment.

LVCHI Auto is born in accordance to theAutomotive Industry development Chinese legislation, providing R&D, projecting, industrialization and selling strategy of electric vehicles. LVCHI Auto, a self-standing company funded by ZNDD group, has the financial and operative capabilities needed to produce EV in a complete and advanced industrial cycle.

Based in E-Business Park in Huaxin,Shangai, LVCHI Auto has 17 departments, including an R&D center and 5 Strategic Departments. 75% of the 400 people employed at LVCHI Auto work in R&D.

The project of Venere, a Limousine with supercar performances, has beenkicked-off in July 2017 by I.DE.A. Institute, historical firm from Piedmont Region, Italy, operating on a worldwide level since 1978 in style design, modelling, engineering and prototyping. Venere is the starting point of a development plan relying on an industrial capacity of 550,000 vehicles in 2023.

“First we prove, then we talk: this is the approach shared between us and LVCHI Auto and it is based on pragmatism” explains Eng. Domenico Morali, president of I.DE.A. Institute. “At the Geneva Motor Show we will unveil a performing prototype, the result of the first months of development and with performances certified by the CSI Institute (Italy) in February. In Geneva, we will show a performing vehicle, a synthesis of innovation, design and constructive quality. This will beVenere business card. Moreover,LVCHI Auto is a reliable partner with a clear international vocation. They decided to move the new models development to Turin, Italy,finding in I.DE.A. Institute their ideal partner”.

LVCHI Auto will start producing in Turin and Venere will hit the market in 2019. Subsequently the new electric Citycarwill be introduced, allowing the brand to be positioned on different market ranges. Between 2020 and 2021, the development plan expects the launch of SUV, MPV platforms and of an electric high performing sedan, Urano, presented in Shanghai last January, 8th.

As for Venere, also for the development of theCitycar, LVCHI Auto relies on I.DE.A. Institute engineering expertise. Technicians are already working to adapt the platform to all the innovations developed for Venere. This platform is being developed in two versions, 2 and 4 seats, to fully reach the needs of the future urban mobility, but with an environmental approach.

If it is true that in 2030 more than 30% of cars sold in metropolitan areas will be EVs, as a report by McKinsey & Company points out, then it is likelythat LVCHI Auto will have the technologies and the industrial capability to answera decent size of this growing request.
