Rezvani releases third and the last teaser of the Beast

DiMora Motorcars put finishing touches to the neoclassic Vicci 6.2 on the 28th of March. Being a true modern-age incarnation of the Sceptre, made by Sir Afred J. DiMora in the late 70s, the Vicci is a pure neoclassic automobile. Its flowing lines remembers iconic style of Morgan or Auburn Speedster, yet this is an original design set for a very limited production numbers.  Read more »

Pegaso Dual Turbo – a stallion which didn’t get off the groundPegaso – a forgotten manufacturer of trucks, motor coaches and other heavyweight machinery – manufactured sportscar models Z-102 and Z-1903 for a period of seven year between 1951 and 1958. Established by Wilfredo Ricart, this Spanish, Barcelona-based, manufacturer used a badge of a Pegasus – a Greek mythological creature – the winged stallion. Being a symbol of wisdom and fame this well represented the marque whose models did not get that famous after all.However, despite a short period of existence Pegaso made a clear mark in the automotive history and distinguished itself thanks to the iconic styling. While the first V8-powered units utilized own factory bodies, later on coachbuilding companies like Italian Touring and French Saoutchik did their masterpiece work which we are still able to witness today.  Read more »

World premiere of 2014 Studiotorino Moncenisio

Moncenisio – a coachbuilt super rare sportcar - was unveiled today by Alfredo Stola and his Studiotorino team at National Automobile Museum of Turin. Giving a tribute to the Italian motorsports, specifically - Susa-Moncenisio race (the first hill-climb competition in the world) – this is a Porsche Cayman-based custom-made exotica which will be made to order in a limited quantity of just 19 examples!While the car will retain donor’s technical structure and the engine, each specimen will receive a highly reworked sleek bodywork which includes many carbon fiber components as well a redesigned interior trim. A prototype presented today is painted in an appealing blue shade and is marked as a S.F. 1/1. This is a homage to Francesco Stola, father of Alfredo Stola, founder of Studiotorino.  Read more »

This adorable two-seater sportscar is a one-of-a-kind home-made example made sometime in 1956 (or perhaps 1959..) by a citizen of Russian city Leningrad (now known as Saint-Petersburg) – Arkadij Dmitrievich Babich. Being his second or even third (according to different sources) self-built car, the Leningrad was powered by a rather powerful 3.5-liter 90hp GAZ-12 engine.It is said that his previous car utilized a V2 engine taken from some motorcycle, while the Leningrad was able to hit a top speed on 130 km/h! GENEVA 2014 - Ferrari California T is revealed!

Ferrari has dropped a real bomb just before the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show. A sublime California T spider is a real stunner. Designed in conjunction with Pininfarina, a brand new Ferrari is powered by a 3.8-liter V8 turbo engine developing 560 hp at 7500 rpm and a max torque of 755 Nm. GENEVA 2014 - nanoFLOWCELL Quant e-Sportlimousine announced

A concept car known as Koenigsegg NLV Quant was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009. The main idea behind it was to create a luxury high performance solar-electric super sedan.  It was just a 1:1 scale model presented on the stand, however a year later a partnering Swiss company NLV Solar AG returned to the show and presented a fully-equipped futuristic Quant under their own name. The car featured huge gull-wing doors, carbonfiber bodywork with thin-film photovoltaic solar coating. It was to be driven by a 800hp, 1500 Nm power aggregate.  Read more »

1978 Australian Ze-One prototype!

Here is a real gem for enthusiasts of truly obscure and unknown sportscars - an Australian Ze-One prototype. This neat looking automobile was presented at Sydney International Motor Show in 1978. Built by a trio of individuals - John Englaro, Dorian Zerial and Harold Zeman - the car was developed as a competitor to Ferrari and Maserati in a period of four years. It should have been a personalised high performance sportscar with European touch and Australian mechanicals. Engine, gearbox and running gear was borrowed from Holden.  Read more »
